On 1 to 3 September 1989, the Military Science Club is sponsoring a six man team in a competitive gaming tournament. This event, Tactikhan '89, will be held at the Westminster Ramada Hotel in Denver. The team will leave after school on Friday afternoon and will return Sunday. Due to this competition, the team will miss the parade and home football game scheduled for the Labor Day Weekend. The specific scheduling of the events at the convention conflict directly with both activities. Permission to miss these events is required by all Squadron and Group AOCs of the team members that follow: C1C Croft, David W. (CS-36); C2C Gayer, Michael J. (CS-22); C2C Nix, Timothy G. (CS-12); C2C Vaughan, Coley J. (CS-34). This is the first major tournament for the Military Science Club since its reorganization. The team members have practiced and prepared themselves for the competition. Participation is vital to club interest and recruitment.
