1968
I was born July 17th, 1968 in a U.S. Army hospital in Okinawa.
My father was a U.S. Air Force AC-130 navigator in Vietnam at the time and
Okinawa was where the family was stationed.
1980
From 5th grade until my senior year of high school, I lived in
Abilene, Texas. I attended Austin Elementary and Madison Junior High.
1986
I earned my high school diploma from
Cooper High School.
1990
I earned my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the
United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in
1990.
My focus was on digital electronics and computer engineering.
1993
I married Shannon Kristine Wood on September 24th, 1993 in Pasadena,
California.
1995
I earned an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the
California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 1995.
My focus was on
neural networks
in hardware, software, and wetware.
My first child, Ada Beth Croft, was born June 6th, 1995.
1997
My second child, Benjamin Wallace Croft, was born July 24th, 1997.
2000
My third child, Thomas Edward Croft, was born February 12th, 2000.
2004
My book
Advanced Java Game Programming was published in 2004.
I accepted employment as a Software Developer with
Whoola to work on the
Peer-to-Peer Virtual Reality Learning Environments
project.
